Refund & Cancellation Policy
Payment gateways require this policy, and clients deserve it. Kamaan's position is short: we would rather refund a Blueprint than have you carry an architecture you cannot use.
1. Scope
This policy applies to engagement fees paid to Kamaan. Where a signed SOW states different terms, the SOW prevails.
2. Blueprint
The Blueprint carries a full-refund guarantee. If a completed Blueprint does not produce a usable architecture document and ROI projections, we refund 100% of the fee. To date this has not been triggered. The guarantee exists because it should.
- Refund requests must be raised within 14 days of Blueprint delivery.
- Cancellation before work begins: full refund, less any third-party costs already committed.
- Cancellation after discovery interviews have started: pro-rated against work completed.
- The Blueprint fee credits in full toward a Build setup fee if a Build SOW is executed within 30 days of delivery.
3. Build
Build engagements carry a minimum commitment stated in the SOW — typically 3 or 6 months.

4. Operate
Operate is a 12-month engagement with a deliberate exit built into it.
- 90-day mutual fit check at month 3. Either party may convert the engagement to a smaller Build-only structure. No penalty either way.
- From month 4, the 12-month term is firm and retainers are payable for the balance of the term.
- Auto-renewal requires 60 days' written notice of non-renewal from either party.
- Pauses for genuine emergencies are handled by written agreement, not unilaterally.
5. Monthly retainers
Retainers are invoiced on the 1st and payable Net 7. They cover a period of work, not a set of deliverables, and are not refundable for a period already worked. Late payment from day 14 triggers the Pause Protocol set out in the MSA.
6. How to request a refund
Write to admin@kamaan.ai with your company name, the SOW reference and the reason. We acknowledge within 2 business days and decide within 7. Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within 7–10 business days. Bank and gateway charges on international transfers are borne by the party that incurred them.
7. Taxes
Refunds are net of GST where GST has already been remitted. Indian engagements attract 18% GST; international clients are responsible for any local tax.
8. Disputes
If we cannot agree, the escalation path in the MSA applies, and failing that the courts at Thane, Maharashtra, India have jurisdiction. Contact: admin@kamaan.ai
